Before using your Bind Master Pro, confirm that all components are securely installed and properly aligned.

Your complete kit includes:

Router, router bit, and worktable are not included unless specifically stated in your order.

Setup and Alignment

For best results:

  1. Secure the table base firmly to a stable work surface.
  2. Confirm that both supported linear rails are parallel.
  3. Slide the bearing blocks onto the rails and check for smooth movement.
  4. Install the router carriage and mounting base.
  5. Secure the router using the correct mounting hardware.
  6. Adjust the bearing alignment as needed.
  7. Install and position the travel stops.
  8. Set the cutting depth using a test piece before routing your instrument.

The router carriage should move freely without excessive side-to-side movement, binding, or resistance.

Setting the Cutting Depth

Always set the binding channel depth using scrap material or a test piece before cutting the instrument.

Make small adjustments and verify:

  • Channel depth
  • Channel width
  • Router-bit position
  • Bearing contact
  • Clearance around the guitar body
  • Carriage travel

Never rely on visual estimates alone when setting the final cutting depth.

Standard and Carbon Xtreme Components

Standard

Standard Bind Master Pro components are produced using glass-reinforced PETG for strength, durability, and reliable workshop performance.

Carbon Xtreme

Carbon Xtreme components are produced using carbon-fiber-reinforced PETG for increased rigidity and a premium black finish.

Both versions are designed for accurate guitar-binding work when properly installed and adjusted.

Troubleshooting

The carriage does not move smoothly

Check that:

  • The rails are parallel
  • The bearing blocks are properly aligned
  • Mounting screws are not overtightened
  • The rails are clean and free of debris
  • The carriage is not contacting the table or another component

The router has side-to-side movement

Inspect the mounting screws and bearing-block hardware. Confirm that the router is mounted to the correct base and that all fasteners are secure.

The binding channel is uneven

Verify that:

  • The guitar body is stable
  • The router bit and bearing are installed correctly
  • The cutter remains square to the workpiece
  • The carriage moves freely
  • The body cradle brackets are positioned properly
  • The cutting depth was tested before routing

The router does not fit the mounting base

Confirm the exact router brand and model. Some routers with similar names use different mounting patterns.

Do not drill, enlarge, or modify the mounting holes before contacting support.

A component was damaged during shipping
